Article 1
General
1.1 Applicability
These general terms and treatment conditions apply to all appointments, treatments, treatment programmes, promotions, offers and other services provided by Miss. Elegance · Laser, Skin & Lifting Boutique, located at Doelenstraat 6 in Alkmaar and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 71560998.
1.2 Acceptance of these terms
By making or confirming an appointment, undergoing a treatment, starting a treatment programme or making use of an offer, the client confirms that they have read and agree to these terms.
1.3 Pre-treatment and aftercare
The client is responsible for reading and following all provided contraindications, pre-treatment advice, aftercare instructions and other relevant information.
1.4 Right to refuse treatment
Miss. Elegance reserves the right to refuse, adjust, postpone or discontinue a treatment when, in our professional judgement, this is necessary due to health, skin condition, medication, safety, hygiene, contraindications, behaviour or other relevant circumstances.
1.5 Boutique and appointment-only service
Miss. Elegance is a small-scale boutique and operates by appointment only. Availability for follow-up appointments and the acceptance of new treatment programmes depends on available treatment capacity.
Article 2
Treatments & results
2.1 Individual results
Responses to cosmetic treatments vary from person to person. Results depend on factors including skin condition, skin type, hair type, age, genetic factors, hormones, medication, lifestyle, treatment area, treatment intervals, home care and individual biological processes.
2.2 No guarantee of results
No guarantee can be given regarding a specific result, percentage of improvement, treatment duration, number of treatments required or the point at which results will become visible.
2.3 Treatment advice
Treatment advice is based on the skin condition and information available at the time of treatment. Advice does not constitute a medical diagnosis and does not replace examination or treatment by a doctor.
Article 3
Laser hair removal
3.1 How it works
Laser hair removal is intended to achieve long-term reduction of unwanted hair growth. Laser energy is absorbed by pigment in the hair and converted into heat, allowing hair follicles in a suitable growth phase to be damaged or weakened for an extended period.
3.2 Multiple treatments
Because not all hairs are in the same growth phase at the same time, multiple treatments are required. The number of treatments needed varies considerably between individuals and treatment areas.
3.3 No guarantee of complete permanent hair removal
The aim of laser hair removal is long-term and significant hair reduction. Complete or lifelong absence of hair cannot be guaranteed. Hormonal, genetic and biological factors may cause existing or previously inactive hair follicles to produce hair again.
3.4 Maintenance
After completing a treatment programme, periodic maintenance treatments may be required to maintain the achieved result as effectively as possible.
3.5 Hair colour and thickness
Laser treatment depends on sufficient pigment being present in the hair. Blonde, white, grey, red and very fine hairs generally respond less effectively or may not respond effectively to laser treatment.
If, during a treatment programme, the remaining hairs prove insufficiently suitable for treatment, Miss. Elegance may recommend ending the programme or discontinuing further treatments.
3.6 Hormonal hair growth
Hormonal changes may affect hair growth and treatment results. This may occur, for example, during pregnancy, with hormonal conditions, menopause, medication use or other hormonal changes.
Article 4
Skin · peels & skin improvement
4.1 Purpose of skin improvement treatments
Skin improvement treatments are cosmetic treatments aimed at concerns such as skin texture, appearance, blemishes, superficial pigmentation differences, fine lines, hydration and overall skin refinement.
4.2 Peels
Professional peels contain active ingredients that are applied to the skin in a controlled manner. The treatment, concentration, contact time and intensity are tailored to the skin type, skin condition and treatment goal.
4.3 Skin reactions
Temporary skin reactions may occur, including redness, dryness, sensitivity, tightness, flaking, mild swelling, temporary blemishes or changes in pigmentation.
4.4 Results
Some clients notice a fresher or smoother appearance after one treatment. Other skin goals may require multiple treatments and consistent home care. Results vary from person to person.
4.5 Sun exposure and skincare
The client must carefully follow all advice provided regarding sun exposure, sun protection and the use of active skincare products.
Article 5
Lifting · skin tightening with ultrasound
5.1 Non-surgical treatment
Skin tightening with targeted ultrasound is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment in which energy is delivered at controlled depths beneath the surface of the skin.
5.2 Collagen remodelling
The treatment is designed to create controlled thermal effects within the treated tissue. The natural healing process that follows may stimulate the formation and reorganisation of collagen.
5.3 Gradual results
Results generally develop gradually over the weeks and months following treatment. The final result varies from person to person and depends partly on skin quality, degree of laxity, age, anatomy, collagen response and lifestyle.
5.4 Not a surgical facelift
A non-surgical ultrasound treatment is not equivalent to a surgical facelift and cannot guarantee the same result. The aim is a subtle improvement in skin firmness and contours.
5.5 Possible reactions
Temporary reactions may occur after treatment, such as redness, sensitivity, swelling, tingling, tenderness or sensitivity to touch. The duration and intensity vary from person to person.
Article 6
Health, contraindications & duty to provide information
6.1 Client's duty to provide information

6.2 In case of doubt
If there is any doubt regarding medical suitability, treatment may be postponed or refused and the client may be advised to consult a doctor or medical specialist first.
6.3 Incomplete information
If the client fails to provide relevant information, or provides incorrect or incomplete information, this may affect treatment safety and results. Miss. Elegance cannot be held responsible for consequences directly resulting from the withholding or incorrect provision of such information, to the extent permitted by law.
Article 7

7.1 Cancelling or rescheduling
An appointment may be changed or cancelled free of charge. We appreciate being notified as early as possible and preferably at least 24 hours in advance via WhatsApp.
7.2 No-shows
In the event of repeated no-shows, repeated very late cancellations or persistent failure to comply with appointments or house rules, Miss. Elegance reserves the right to refuse new appointments or further treatment.

9.2 Payment
Individual treatments are generally paid for immediately after treatment using the payment method available at that time, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
9.3 Completed treatments
Treatments that have already been fully performed do not automatically entitle the client to a refund if the result is experienced differently from what was hoped for or expected.
Article 10
The Happy Four, promotions & special treatment packages
10.1 The Happy Four
The Happy Four consists of four treatments of the same pre-selected laser combination at a special promotional rate.
10.2 Advance payment
To qualify for the special Happy Four rate, the full amount for all four treatments must be paid in advance.
10.3 Personal and non-transferable
A Happy Four treatment programme is personal to the client and cannot be transferred to another person without prior permission.
10.4 Treatment combination
The selected treatment combination generally applies to all four treatments. Changing to a different combination or treatment area may affect the price.
10.5 Medical or professional reasons
If a treatment is temporarily considered unsuitable, postponement or an appropriate alternative will be discussed. If further treatment is permanently considered unsuitable or no longer useful, the situation will be assessed individually.
10.6 Other promotions
Temporary promotions, introductory prices and discounts may have their own terms, validity periods or restrictions. These will be stated with the relevant offer.
Article 11
Liability
11.1 Professional care
Treatments are carried out to the best of our knowledge and ability and with professional care.
11.2 Normal treatment reactions
Cosmetic treatments may cause temporary and normal skin reactions. A normal or previously explained treatment reaction does not automatically mean that a treatment was performed incorrectly.
11.3 Pre-treatment and aftercare
Miss. Elegance is not responsible for damage demonstrably caused by failure to follow provided pre-treatment or aftercare advice, withholding relevant information or deliberately disregarding instructions, to the extent permitted by law.
11.4 Biological factors
Miss. Elegance cannot accept responsibility for natural biological processes beyond its control, including new hair growth, hormonal changes, individual collagen response or other individual reactions.
11.5 Statutory rights
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude consumers' statutory rights or limit liability where this is not permitted under mandatory Dutch law.
Article 12
Complaints & questions after treatment
12.1 Report as soon as possible
If a client experiences an unexpected skin reaction or is not satisfied with a treatment, we ask that this is reported as soon as possible so that the situation can be carefully assessed.
12.2 Photographs and additional information
To allow a proper assessment, the client may be asked to provide clear photographs and information about the reaction, when it developed, products used, medication and aftercare performed.
12.3 Response time
Complaints may be submitted via WhatsApp or email. Miss. Elegance aims to provide a substantive response to complaints within 14 days.
12.4 Individual assessment
Submitting a complaint does not automatically entitle the client to a refund, compensation or a free additional treatment. Each situation is assessed individually.
Article 13
Privacy & communication
13.1 Personal data
Personal data is processed only insofar as necessary for appointments, treatments, administration, payments, communication and compliance with legal obligations.
13.2 WhatsApp
A significant part of our communication takes place via WhatsApp. When a client contacts us via WhatsApp, this communication method is used for questions, appointments and relevant treatment communication.
13.3 Confidentiality
Personal and treatment-related information is treated confidentially and is not used for other purposes unless consent has been provided or this is required by law.
13.4 Photographs
Photographs taken solely for assessment or treatment records will not be used for social media, the website, advertising or other public publications without separate consent.
Article 14
Force majeure & technical circumstances
In the event of illness, equipment failure, power failure, technical problems, extreme weather conditions, government measures or other circumstances that are reasonably beyond our control, an appointment may be cancelled or rescheduled.
Where possible, a new appointment will be offered as soon as possible.
Article 15
Changes to these terms
Miss. Elegance · Laser, Skin & Lifting Boutique may amend these general terms and treatment conditions where business operations, treatments, legislation or other circumstances give reason to do so.
The most current version will be published on the official website.
Article 16

In the event of a dispute, the parties will first attempt to reach a reasonable solution together. Consumers' statutory rights remain fully applicable.
